Math

In math the students have continued to work on number writing using iPads and white boards.
Throughout this unit there were many examples of student initiated math development and  understanding.  For example, some children decided to make money for the 'Kinder Museum' using real 1, 2 and 5 cent coins as templates, others used tape measures and rulers to calculate how big their models were and there were many discussions on the shapes used in their constructions.
During the field trip to the Maxxi the students made very strong connections between school and the museum and eagerly shared their knowledge of shapes and lines.
