Dear Parents,
It was a great pleasure to have your little ones in our classroom this year, we have learned so many things and grown together as a team. It has been a pleasure and privilege to see their personalities grow day by day and be a part of their learning journey.
We have laughed, played, learned, and enriched our lives during the year.
Many thanks for your consistent support and help throughout the year.
Wishing you all a wonderful and carefree summer.
From our heart to yours
Thank-you,

Dear Parents

Dear Parents
Unbelievably we have just started our last Unit of Inquiry for the 2015/16 Academic year. Our unit title is 'In the Garden' under the Transdisciplinary Theme of 'Sharing the Planet'.
Through the Central Idea 'Interactions among plants and animals in the garden create an ecosystem' , the students will investigate and explore life above and below the ground and much more.
Unit of Inquiry

This unit began with the children listening to the poem 'Hurt no living thing' and making their first drawing of living things in a garden.
As the children work through the unit they will be focusing on the big ideas of observation and documentation.  While learning about insects the children have visited and revisited the gardens in school.  Each time building on what they have seen before.

Using magnifying glasses, observation containers and cameras they have been able to develop their observation skills. By paying close attention to the insects, leaves, plants and flowers they are not only true inquirers but are also becoming increasingly knowledgeable and caring.
