Kinder read “Night Monkey, Day Monkey” and made connections to different animal worlds. We talked about opposites and differences and what one fears, the other one loves, what one understands, only confuses the other. But in learning about each other's opposite worlds and laughing at their own misunderstandings, they learn to be the best of friends. It was great for introducing our Nocturnal and Diurnal animals. Children researched and read books about animals. They made a T-chart to recreate their understanding and worked hard on sorting and matching animals to their beginning sounds.
