Students have been working hard on following classroom directions and routines. Many have already grasped simple instruction and most understand simple questions and are beginning to answer in English and using full sentences. The children enjoyed reading all of the ‘David’ books by David Shannon. They made connections and demonstrated their understanding through gestures, expressions and words. Morning circle has become a favourite part of the day. We explore the Calendar, days (numbers), days of the week and months. We also talk about seasons, weather and our daily schedule. And let us not forget our Alphabet chant! Try singing some of our favourite songs at home!
